But for many others — the widows, and the forgotten families — it is just another month of trying to survive.
At the J.O. Obaniyi Foundation, this is the season that tests our hearts the most.
Because behind the carols and bright lights, we see faces that still wait in hope — homes where joy is a visitor that rarely stays.
Every year, through our Festive Outreach, we step into those spaces with love bringing food, and the necessary things to support families who have little left to celebrate.
We go not because we can help everyone, but because no one deserves to be left out of joy.
But this year, the calls for help have grown louder.
More widows are reaching out.
More families are struggling.
And though our hands are ready, our resources are stretched thin.
That is why we are calling not for sympathy, but for support.
To give, to support, to stand with us as we make this December a season of hope, not hunger.
